Since 2013 Tommaso Piazza is Ricercatore (equivalent to Assistant Professor) at the Department of Humanities at the University of Pavia. His main interests are epistemology and the philosophy of language.

He received his PhD in Philosophy at the University of Florence in 2003. Since then, he has been a post-doc fellow at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Salzburg, Investigador 2007 and Investigador FCT at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Porto, Lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy of the University of Jyväskylä. From 2007 to 2013 he has been a member of the Instituto de Filosofia of Porto University.
