Ricardo Mendoza-Canales
Research Group: Praxis
Ricardo Mendoza-Canales is a research fellow at the Centre of Philosophy, University of Lisbon (CFUL). He holds a PhD in Philosophy (Doctor Europaeus, 2015, Special Prize Award) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and studied Hispanic Linguistics and Literature at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and Comparative Literature and Contemporary Philosophy at UAB.
His research focuses on imagination and the imaginary as constitutive of the interplay between subjectivity and the social, with intersections across phenomenology, epistemology, cultural studies, social ontology, politics, and aesthetics. He welcomes MA and PhD students interested in continental philosophy and inter- or transdisciplinary approaches.
