Raoul Marian is a PhD student at University of Lisbon and a student member of the Centre of Philosophy of the University of Lisbon (CFUL).

He graduated in 2018 at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon with a dissertation concerning the ontological statute of the thing-in-itself in Kant’s philosophy (Materialismo em Kant? Apontamentos para um itinerário futuro).

He was awarded the master’s degree in 2022 with a thesis regarding Nicholas of Cusa’s dialectical ontology (A unidade dialéctica do todo. Estudo em torno da ontologia de Nicolau de Cusa).

His PhD project, funded by FCT, will focus on Giordano Bruno’s materialist ontology.

His main areas of investigation are ontology, epistemology and politics.
