“In 2022, João Amorety was awarded a master’s degree in philosophy from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon with a dissertation on the relationship between Kant’s anthropology and transcendental philosophy. He is currently pursuing a doctoral project funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology about assessing how Heidegger’s critique of Husserl informs his reading of the Critique of Pure Reason. His interests include Philosophical Anthropology, Transcendental Philosophy and Hermeneutics. His work is centred on German Idealism (particularly Kant) and Phenomenology (particularly Heidegger)”.
