Jeovet Baca Virgínia holds a PhD in Philosophy from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (2024). His dissertation, entitled “A Linguagem na Construção da Identidade Narrativa: Um Estudo a Partir de Ernst Cassirer, Charles Taylor e Achille Mbembe” was jointly supervised by professors Soraya Nour Sckell (NOVA) and Carlos João Correia (University of Lisbon). Previously, he obtained a MA in Philosophy at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the NOVA University Lisbon (2017) with the dissertation entitled “O Príncipio da Política do Reconhecimento em Rousseau Segundo Charles Taylor” and a BA degree in Philosophy at the Instituto Superior Don Bosco of the Catholic University of Angola (2015) with a monograph entitled “O Homem no Mundo na Perspectiva de Martin Heidegger”.
The most frequent terms in the context of scientific, technological and cultural artistic production are: identity; multiculturalism; culture; fundamental rights.
He was part of the team of the project “Cosmopolitanism: Justice, Democracy and Citizenship without Borders – PTDC / FER-FIL / 30686/2017,” led by Prof. Nour-Sckell between 2018-2022.
