Filipa Afonso is an Invited Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Lisbon, where she teaches Medieval Philosophy, Medieval Metaphysics and Ancient and Medieval Neoplatonism. She received her PhD in Medieval Philosophy from the University of Lisbon with a thesis on Bonaventure’s Metaphysics of Light. She is conducting a post-doctoral research focused on Eriugena’s Ontology. Filipa Afonso is vice-director of Centro de Filosofia da Universidade de Lisboa, and member of Société Internationale pour l’Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale, and Sociedade Portuguesa de Filosofia Medieval.
