Philosophy Against Fascism: Session 3, with Tamara Caraus

March 19, 2026

Session 3 | 19 March 2026, 18.00-19.30

Philosophy Against Fascism is a monthly event series organized by Praxis-CFUL (the Practical Philosophy Research Group of the Center of Philosophy, University of Lisbon) and Livraria Tigre de Papel with the aim of critically understanding the emergence of fascism and its complex ideological dimensions. The discussion series brings together philosophers and theorists to critically examine contemporary forms of fascism and rethink anti-fascism today through lenses of capitalism, race, gender, nation, coloniality, and democracy.

In the third session, we will have a lecture by Tamara Caraus (Center of Philosophy, University of Lisbon), titled Adorno’s Critical Theory of Fascism. Venue: Livraria Tigre de Papel (Rua de Arroios 25, Lisboa).

Coordination: Tamara Caraus (Praxis-CFUL) and Sjoerd van Tuinen (Erasmus University Rotterdam)

Next sessions: Philosophy Against Fascism

This event is funded by Portuguese national funds through FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P., within the project UID/00310/2025, Centro de Filosofia da Universidade de Lisboa.
