Maria Leonor Lamas de Oliveira Xavier holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Lisbon (1994), where she also obtained the title of Aggregate (2011). She is a senior associate professor at the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon (FLUL), where she teaches the following curricular units: The Study of Philosophy / Themes and Techniques of Philosophy; The Philosophical Thought of Our Masters; Great Masters of Medieval Thought; Philosophy and Theology in the Middle Ages. She is a member of: Société Internationale pour l’Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale (SIEPM); Red Latinoamericana de Filosofía Medieval (RLFM); Sociedad de Filosofía Medieval (SOFIME); International Association for Anselm Studies (IAAS); Society for the European History of Ideas (SEHI).
