I’m Assistant Professor at the University of Lisbon, where I took my PhD with a thesis on rule-consequentialism.  My area of research is ethics, but I’m also interested in metaphysics, epistemology, and early modern philosophy. I published mainly on consequentialism, Kantian ethics, abortion, and animal rights. I edited and translated into Portuguese works by David Hume, Samuel Johnson, J. S. Mill and Henry Sidgwick.
