In the summer of 2025, the Practical Philosophy Research Group of the Centre of Philosophy at the University of Lisbon (Praxis-CFUL) launched the annual Lisbon Praxis Summer School (LPSS), focusing on a topic of current and ongoing relevance for practical and critical philosophy, broadly construed.

Each year, during the second week of July, the LPSS brings together young researchers, graduate students, and senior scholars to discuss new perspectives and foundational texts related to the selected topics. The themes will be addressed in keynote lectures, text-based advanced seminars, and plenary sessions. A public round-table discussion featuring the keynote speakers from the Summer School consolidates the themes explored during the week-long interaction and extends the debate to a broader audience.
