The question of technology is becoming increasingly relevant as technology expands and affects most areas of life. This reading group will focus on some of the main authors who engaged with the question of technology. We will explore how technology has been theorized from a variety of perspectives \u2013 critical, ontological, anthropological, and political. Central questions will involve the relationship between technology and agency, the role of technology in history, the status of technology as ideology, the idea of automation, the environmental dimension of technology, and more. In the first series of this reading group, the aim is to highlight differences and points of contacts between some of the main perspectives on the place of technology in the social and political spheres.<\/p>\n
