Doctor in Philosophy from the University of Lisbon, with a dissertation titled “The Arab-Islamic presence in Fernando Pessoa”.

Master in Psychology from the University of Turin.

Member of the Centre of Philosophy at the University of Lisbon.

Currently developing post-doctoral studies on Islam, Islamic culture and Islamic philosophy in contemporary Portuguese thought.

His main research interests are: the thought and work of Fernando Pessoa; Islam in contemporary Portuguese thought and culture; Islamic mysticism.

He collaborates as lecturer (teaching assistant) at the University of Lisbon and at the Lusófona University, where he coordinates the project Islamic Heritage in Portugal.

He authored several conferences, books and articles in international scientific journals, in Portugal, Italy, Spain and USA, on authors such as Fernando Pessoa, Teixeira de Pascoaes, Antero de Quental, Agostinho da Silva, Jorge Luis Borges and Friedrich Nietzsche, among others.
