Welcome<\/h4>\n

HPhil\u2019s mission is to promote research in the field of history of philosophy by complying with the following goals:<\/p>\n

(1) Creating conditions for its development;<\/p>\n

(2) Raising the number of researchers and their qualification;<\/p>\n

(3) Striving for projects of excellence in this area of research.<\/p>\n

In order to achieve the mentioned goals, its strategic priorities are:<\/p>\n

1st<\/sup>) \u00a0\u00a0 Developing tools in Portuguese for research in history of philosophy;<\/p>\n

2nd<\/sup>) \u00a0 Attracting and qualifying young researchers in history of philosophy;<\/p>\n

3rd<\/sup>) \u00a0 Structuring and implementing internationally competitive research projects and programmes in history of philosophy;<\/p>\n

4th<\/sup>) \u00a0\u00a0 Developing original forefront research to be published in international journals and publishers with peer review, with the aim of developing this area of research.<\/p>\n

HPhil develops its activity around the four great eras of Western philosophy \u2013 Ancient, Medieval, Modern and Contemporary philosophy \u2013, as well as in the specific area of history of philosophy in Portugal. Some of its members also carry out research on Eastern thought.<\/p>\n

International Aristotelian Conference: 2, 3, and 4 July 2025<\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This conference invites submissions on all topics within the field of Aristotelian studies, including the reception of earlier philosophy in Aristotle\u2019s works, the Peripatetic tradition, and the reception of Aristotle\u2019s thought throughout the history of philosophy.
\nThe conference aims to be the first in a series of regular events with the same goal and scope, and to create an appropriate institutional framework for organising such events.<\/p>\n
