Doctor in Philosophy from the University of Lisbon, with a dissertation titled “A presença árabe-islâmica em Fernando Pessoa” [The Arab-Islamic presence in Fernando Pessoa].
Master in Psychology from the University of Turin.
Member of the Center of Philosophy at the University of Lisbon.
Currently developing post-doctoral studies in contemporary Portuguese thought and literature, with a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
His main research interests are: the thought and work of Fernando Pessoa; the Arab and Islamic themes in contemporary Portuguese thought and literature.
He collaborates as lecturer (teaching assistant) at the University of Lisbon.
He authored several conferences, books and articles in international scientific journals, in Portugal, Italy, Spain and USA, on authors such as Fernando Pessoa, Teixeira de Pascoaes, Antero de Quental, Agostinho da Silva, Jorge Luis Borges and Friedrich Nietzsche, among others.
